    Hey everyone,

I'm looking into replacing my rear shocks and springs, they are completely toast, or just cant handle my weight.

I know XJ4Ever has them listed on his parts page but i was wondering if there is anything a little cheaper. 200+ is something i wont be able to afford for a while.

I do like the Heavy Duty stuff though as I'm 275lb's.

From what i can tell, the models in XJ4Ever's catalog are 12.5" long from eye to eye. Does that mean (for the most part) any shock that is that length should fit? I have never delt with bike suspension before so this is all new ground to me.

A couple ebay links would be awesome if someone has a few minutes. Just so i can see some different items and get a feel for what can be used.

    Thanks

Has shocks for $120, but the HD springs are another $80.

So you can get new sets for about $200.

Was his price $200 for just the shocks?

You would want to replace both items at the rider weight of 275 and any passenger.

Well most prices are for the springs and shocks for the rear.

Best i can tell any 12:5" eye to eye should fit.

    EDIT

i checked that site, and they only really sell the springs and shocks separately. Which brings the price up to about 250 for the HD stuff anyway.
