Stuff: Helmet, Bags, etc - What do with them - Stores/Shows

Just out of curiosity what do people tend to do with their gear (ie helmets, non-lockingbags, etc) when going into a store or parking at a biker show/event?

There may be a general "honor among riders" but no one / no event is perfect...

And do you just walk around with your helmet if you go into a store (not gas station/convenient store)? The back pack I hope to use doesn't quite fit my helmet

 

Helmet ALWAYS goes into store with me. I latch the chin strap and carry it by the strap. Buying a few small things? They go into helmet to be carried to check out. More than a few small things? Helmet goes into shopping cart with the rest of the stuff. Can't say what to do about non-locking bags as mine all lock

 

If I'm by myself, and not going to be away from the bike for too long, I use the helmet lock.

Otherwise, it goes with me, as does my small tank bag.

 

I leave everything on my bike. I have lockable hard bags to put the small stuff in, my helmet sits on the back rest. I rarley lock it down.

 

Well I carried my helmet into Walmart and did use it as a shopping basket. LOL
You don't see many helmets let alone bikers shopping with them in ILL.

I don't have bags on my ride yet. I just have a small sack I can wear while riding for small purchases.

I don't have any bags or anything on my bike,so I figure all I can do is pile everything up on the ground beside the bike,and hope for the best.So far,nothing's ever been touched

When I go to Wal Fart,I ask the greeter if I can leave my stuff by them.I figure they wouldn't want me carrying a backpack around in there anyway,so I just leave my helmet,gloves,and jacket too

 

If I leave my gear with the bike the helmet goes on the lock, gloves go under the seat and I run a bicycle cable lock through the sleeve of the coat and though the leg of the pants and around the frame of the bike. Lay it all on the seat. Tank bags go with me.

 

my question is, why do you guys go to walmart o n a bike to buy anything besides a can of mothers or a pop?

 

It's not a matter of which store LOL
I did buy blind spot mirror at Wal-Mart while on my MC.

Well I don't take the bike to the mart for a gallon of milk or ice cream :lol: but if you're after something else,why not have an excuse to do more riding 8)

Lockable hard bags, to secure stuff while in the store, and to carry groceries home. the right side bag blocks access to the helmet lock, so I carry a cable lock to secure my lid to the grab bar.
