The subject basically says it all. Police edition xj750p solo seat. If anyone is able to help me find one, I would be grateful!

Well...th same bloke has a tank off a "1986 XJ750P" he says, that is th same as my tank, so maybe it is th right seat with a wrong description. He also has wheels labeled "1986" that have th 4 straight spokes, not like mine.
But I'm guessing you'll get a better deal from rockerto.....good luck.

Oh don't worry about the year, pretty sure they are all the 1983 year model but depends when the police mechanic put the plate on with the year stamped on it.
I recon they got a shipping container or two of XJ's and modded the motor straight up, maybe Graeme's 86 was the last one out of the box.

But Yamaha Aust list all police specials 1985, mine's 83 so go figure.

What's with the rust brown paint job, is yours the same color Bushy? Is that the undercover color? :?

Well my seat would need some serious tin working and the fittings are used on my new seat, but i don't think he likes the idea of the postage.

Eightyeinstein has got a twin seat he might cut down, that means his seat hinge mounts on the frame won't accept the police special seat..without a grinder and a welder, and most likely a case of beer and some cursing which helps.

The guy on eBay [Graeme] is pretty flexible with the prices if you ask..

    cheers, Rob

Th ebay 750P ..... he's got a frame dated 6/86 #37H-000415 which all the other stuff must?? have come off, if that means anything to ya.
My tank is red/burgundy with a very fine flake in it, a brighter colour than th 'bay one, no decal as yammy made it.
I looked again at chacals ID# list and my eyes worked this time..37H (police special) # starting at 000101, 1983.....Th seca style tank was th same from 81-83...Conundrum nearer solution.
And from one of your older pics of your seats pan... if that's not th same as th bay one I'll eat a small portion of th cover.

Th first pic was labeled 1985 NZ Police Model Special 24L( th 24L corresponds to chacals list) Based on th 82 RH seca model used in NZ 'til th late 80's. Th 2nd one I'm fairly sure is in WA but that's all I know.
Good grief is that th time g'night.
