I have a 1982 Seca 750, (anti-dive front shocks) when I roll the bike slow, (and come up to a stop) the front wheel clicks. Kind of like the brake pucks are loose. Everything works fine with the front brakes, and it doesn't seem to stick or anything. I am just concerned that it will lock up on me. Any ideas what it could be?

    Possibilities:

Dragging brake(s,) speedo drive unit needs lube or has a bent tab that's dragging, dry/failing speedo cable, OR wheel bearing warning you of impending doom.

    Recommend you investigate.

I bet it was the speedo cable making the noise. That never crossed my mind.

I noticed that the speedo needle was jumping. I pulled it apart and lubed it before putting it away last night. I will check into it more after I get the carb seals installed.

I'll check the bearings too. That is a simple check - don't want them welding up on the road at 70mph.
