    Hey everyone,

Okay my bike is running almost perfect however!!! I find when I am shifting the gears tend to grind a bit. I have my clutch adjusted at both the top and the bottom. If I adjust the bottom any tighter it will slip in 4th and 5th gear. It is not a clunk but more of a rough grind. I find it becomes less pronounced and can even go away if I pull in the clutch and wait a second before shifting (I am assuming this is because everything stops spinning).

The other wierd think that may or may not be related is I can find a dead spot between 5th and 4th gear. It is like a second neutral. Once it gets in this dead area I have to really kick it up or down and then it grinds into place.

So this is my newest heartaches. With all your help I will get to where I can just drive this bike.

    Thanks.

    Dave...

it could be your technique, hold some up pressure on the shifter before you start to pull in the clutch
when the clutch comes in far enough it should pop right into the next gear

I also have the dead spot between 4th and 5th on both my 1100s. Its normal. They only appear when I don't shift fully. Polocks idea works try it. Good firm shifts will eliminate the dead spot.

Adjust the Pedal Height to give you an effortless movement.

If the Pedal is adjusted to high for you, ... you waste some motion trying to lift the Pedal and can get an incomplete throw.

Ya it was all my technique. My 750 wasn't so fussy with shifting and I guess I just got sloppy.
