I wonder if i can remove the new tire i installed and put it on different rim. What happens to the BEAD..will it seal again or should i use some sort of Bead sealer..?? Thanks folks

i don't see why not. i've only installed new tires on bikes but i've had tires swapped on other vehicles many many times (winter/summer tires) without any leaks. i don't see that a bike would be any different. just be careful not to damage the bead when removing the tire from the old rim and make sure the sealing surfaces are clean when installing on the new rim (use a wire brush on the rim if it's grungy from the old tire). you can use a light lube to seat the bead on the new rim - i usually just use soapy water but silicone spray lube would also work well, probably better.

    cheers,

Whatever you use for lube, silicone and oils, don't dissipate, and can cause the tire to spin on the rim under hard acceleration. Soap and water should be ok.

that's a good point. i agree oil might be a bad idea for that reason. however the silicone spray i use is very light/fine and i guess either soaks into the rubber or evaporates after several minutes because it does dry and isn't slick afterward from what i recall. i haven't used it to install a tire but i've used it to spray down exposed rubber parts (intake boots, etc.) to keep them pliable (silicone conditions rubber). other products may differ and remain slick, causing slippage so if that is a concern it might be best to just stick to soapy water to play it safe.

    cheers,

Stick to soapy water for your tire mounting. Also use it when dismounting a tire. It's important to only have the water on the bead though, any that puddles in the tire should be wiped up. When the tire heats up that extra water can turn to steam and make the pressure too high.

Unless you mangle the bead taking it off (or reinstalling it for that matter) it should seat just fine. Anything you add to seal it will create more headaches for you in the future.
