oil level?

    i cant seem to find anything on how many quarts of oil i need for an oil change on my '81 xj650, any help? Also, does anybody know of a system cleaner i can dump in my gas tank? thanks.

    Your oil capacity is stamped next to the fill hole on the case cover. It's around 2,500cc's. I haven't looked at mine lately. You'll need a bit more for a filter change. Check it in the site window on the center stand. Should have just a bubble above the oil in the site glass.

    Why do you think you need a cleaner in your fuel tank? If the carbs are dirty only a proper off the bike cleaning will fix it. I've used Seafoam personally as a stablizer/cleaner and had no problems with it. Can't say it cleaned much but it hasn't hurt anything either.
