Clutch lever perch relay switch

    What is the exact function of the switch under the clutch lever perch on a '93 XJ? I've googled the frikkin' thing for the last hour and can't get a solid answer.

    Anybody know what thats for? I'm still drawing a blank. All the parts lists I've found just label it "Switch".

    Safety Circuit Item

    Switch sends info to Safety Relay indicating Clutch Lever is Pulled or Not.

    In Neutral the Relay does not need the info.

    In Gear ... The Starter will Not Engage unless the Lever is Pulled.
