rack panniers top box

Hi Guys am trying to find a rack/painners/topbox contacted a company HEPCO & BECKER but they want to know internal model code which is normally written in the documents something like 4KO.

I have no idea what this is at all, can anyone help? :?: :?:

Welcome to the forum. I think your answer can found in the XJ4EVER section of the forum, look under Model and Vin numbers or something like that. It would help people answering your questions if you put your bike year and model in your signature area.

The 80/81 model year of the XJ650 maxim is 4H7.

Thanks for info, been told that the company no longer make the rack for the machine, anyone know were I can get a full kit?

 

Not sure if the non-turbo XJ650 frame (or XJ750 for that matter) is the same as yours. If it is, look for racks/bags for the XJ650/750 here, on your local Craigs List and on ebay. Vetter, Hepko-Becker, Krauser, Samsonite might be good candidates.

Barring that, you could get new Pelican cases (or Mermite/machine gun ammo cases) and make up your own mounting system. If you do go this route, design bottom support braces in your setup.
