where does the rear axle crush washer go?

    I need to know the order of where the crush washer goes on the rear axle of a 82 xj650 maxim? The one buy the axle spacer.

    could anyone answer this? I've seen parts diagrams but I'm still not sure.

    Pretty sure it's supposed to be the last thing before you put the nut on.

    The parts diagram is useless, I agree. I just went and looked at my 650, which I haven't had apart yet; PO had the tire replaced so if the shop got it right 15 years ago, it goes under the nut. The "fat end" of the axle stops against the brake drum without a washer there.

    I meant the then one the goes inside by the spacer tube,but thanks anyways.
