mirror threads

    i screwed up the thread on my mount trying to remove the mirror with the windshield on dumb what is the thread 8mm////OR WHAT I know one side is reverse thread can you buy a reverse tap ??????

    bike is in being checked so cannot look I think it was the right one the reverse threaded one what can i do?? thanks for the reply Maurice

    My threads became too loose to hold the mirrors so I tossed them and added bar end mirrors. I love the lower look it gives the front end, an instant cafe racer look for my Seca.

    Just a clarification on threads, there are right hand threads and there are left hand threads; NF=national fine, NC= national course. Then there is metric, and they also have tight and left hand threads. Go to a store like Harbor Freight or even Sears will carry the taps you need.
