I haven't posted since the old site (due to my Seca being dead), but I'm back.
I thought you guys/gals may enjoy this slight modification. And so without further adue...

90 Kawasaki Bayou powered by a XJ750r Seca motor.
    Dynojet, pods, Vance&Hines.
And yes, This thing will roast the tires in third gear!

Cooooolllll!!! Heavy mods to the frame or was it fairly painless? How is the torque? How fast can you get it up to before it shakes you to pieces? That looks like a darn good time!

The frame involved about a pound of 6011 welding rods and 1"solid stock. It was... involved. ;)

The rear wants to outrun the front around 50 or 60 mph, somewhere around third gear. I haven't been too hard on it just yet since I only got it running yesterday, but it will poduce two ten inch black marks on the pavement for about thirty feet. I don't have a clue of the torque, but it's important to have a good hold on the handlebars.

Where can I get one? what mods did it take to mate the drive systems together? I'm a welder-fabricator I'd love a cool project like that.

Suprisingly, the drive system wasn't that much work. I mated the XJ front yolk and u-joint to the original Kawasaki drive-shaft leaving out the c-clips so that the shaft would "float". It worked out so well that I offset the engine two inches, so that I didn't have to modify the factory parts.

That's the coolest thing I've seen in a long time. I love good old American ingenuity! Congrats on a great job.

I can't say I've seen another quad, but someone around here is attempting a golf cart mod.

    Awsome mod project.
Isn't it amazing how women can't seem to appreciate when their men step into the creative mode!?
