Hi All just to introduce myself . I just inherit of a 82 SECA 650. The last time it ran was in 2003 i am in the process of getting it in shape. I am a licensed small engine mechanic. I took my 2 year college course and worked for a dealer that carried Honda, Polaris and Suzuki. I also worked for a dealer that carried lawn and garden equipment. Stihl cub-cadet white etc.

Just wanted to drop in and say hi. Here is were i am at with the "restoration".

I have cleaned the carbs twice so far. the first time it ran for about 20 min and filled the head with gas. I then flushed the oil and re clean the carbs. I took about a 40 min drive and she seems to run ok. I still need to do fine tuning. Keep in touch with my old boys at the shop waiting for one to bring me the electronic vacuum balancer. once i sync her with that she will really wake up. This is by far the worst case of varnish i have ever seen. "Any one here knows were i can find needle valves for them" Dealer are 65$ each . I think they are type "D".

I will try to find pictures. keep in mind that i am near no were close to being finished.

i just gave here CPR she is breathing but that is about it :p

The image will display automatically once i upload it to my server

If he has any fault, he gives you TOO much information.

Welcome fellow Maritimer - lots of us here in the Atlantics. Looks like a fine project. XJ4Ever has my vote too. Super service, great selection, decent pricing and not afraid to make sure you are informed. Word here is to keep the total for each order under a C-note or the feds tack on about 30%. Good luck!
