I searched through alot of threads looking for an answer, but did not come up with one. As everyone knows if you read my previous thread.. my bike got drug down the road by some dumb chick and in the midst of it all. broke both my turn signals off both sides of my bike. Before it got hit.. turns signals all the way around worked fine. The rear ones were LED and they blinked and worked fine. Since my front ones got broke off.. I decided to convert them to LED.. now all the lights do is stick on.. and you can hear the relay buzzing. I am guessing either the box got shorted out from maybe the two wires touching when the lights got ripped off or is it because of the low resistance of the LEDs that won't let it flash? if so, what do I have to do to make them work again..? any advice is greatly appreciated!!

the LED's don't put enough load on the circuit to trip the flasher. you either need to put a resistor in with the LED's or get an appropriately down sized flasher relay. there are other cleaner, spendier answers but spending money rarely applies to me so I forget what those options are.

Replace the flasher with a electronic one, you can get one at most auto parts stores. You will loose the auto cancel function if you do that. They can be modified to make the auto cancel work again, search the forums to find out how. Another option is to put regular bulbs back in.

Before you change anything make a pigtail with the correct sized bulb soldered to the end and connect them to your flasher wiring. I would make one for every bulb position. Try your flashers so that you will know you are correct on every corner. If they work you will know it is an insufficient current draw issue.

The fact that the flasher is buzzing would lead me to believe that insufficient current is your problem.

ok i will see what i can come up with today. I dont care about the auto cancel because it never did work anyways with the leds on the rear so i will go see if i can come up with a relay that is a 4 prong relay that is a electronic one correct?
