I just got my "new" XJ750 how. It runs but i want to do a couple mods to it. I'm gonna completely take it apart and do a complete maintenance and cleaning of it. Carbs are basically new, but I'm going to check them. I'm going to strip and repaint it, as well as replace the console and lights. I need ideas on seats. It still has the stock seat but the leather has some wear and rips in it. I need ideas on either a nice single seat if i can't find the 2-seater i want, or a small/low-profile 2-seater. i want to take some of the end of the frame off and weld lower down for a smaller design and look. Pictures to come later today when i get home.

make your own seat and you will get exactly the look youre after.

i have looked upon some harley seats but they are all too wide and long, and im thinking of fabricating my own.

kato vittu googlesta as we say in finland, meaning something like f***ing google it. theres a lot of information on how to do it. i bet some guys on this board has done it also.

almost done the maintenance. all the parts are now in the mail. pics of the the before will be posted tonight.
So far the engine is in excellent condition. No shrapnel or broken parts. Carbs are rebuilt. Gotta finish taking the engine off to replace the gaskets.
