Adjusted the clutch, wash + wax, sat around and wished UPS would bring my new and non-leaky petcock faster

got the parts I needed to get the screamin eagle exhaust installed. Got the mirror for it and ordered turn signals. At the same time I fell behind on my college work, so I'll be spending the next two days I have off catching up and working on the bike will have to wait until next week.

I have new bike syndrome. You know the symptoms, you're new to the bike and every odd rattle and sound convinces you that the motor is about to explode into a shoebox full of shrapnel. So the Yamaha engineered rattle/clank generator that they had thoughtfully placed right in front of my face below the clocks HAD to be modified or I was going to lose my sanity!

So I made a damper that fits snugly inside the plastic shell that surrounds the ignition barrel out of closed cell foam packaging with a craft knife. I would show you, but I can't seem to put pictures onto my posts

Today I scrubbed all loose paint and thoroughly cleaned the motor (removed from frame 10 days ago and have just got back to it) purchased new air filter online, purchased 4 new blinkers through Ebay and inquired about chain and sprockets through Ebay sellers and one online wrecker who has a lot of new gear.

Now... tomorrow .. that's the fun day :) more careful final cleaning and painting...... Frame also gets the paint.

Woohoo!!!! Passed the inspection for registration & now legally registered.
Sadly I didn't have time for a long ride today, but tomorrow........
I'm really looking forward to a good shake down ride tomorrow.
At last back on my bike after 2+ years.

Took it for 75km shake down ride.
Lots of fun. Just as I remember it.
No major issues except the speedo needle is sticking at 100kmh.
No big deal but will have to see what I can do to fix it.
Still just excited to be back on the road.
