OK, so I am an insensitive clod; now how does this work exactly?

Isn't this kind of like braille buttons on a drive up ATM? It's real, I only used Photoshop to fudge his number.

Sorry. I didn't know there WAS such a thing.

Well, he IS on a Harley. (sorry, slipped out.)

Am I the only that finds this ironic? Wouldn't qualifying for the plate disqualify you from riding a motorcycle except in the most extreme cases?

I know a one-armed guy who rides a Ducati with all of the controls on one side of the handlebar but he doesn't have one.

Could have some kind of breathing issue where he can't walk long distances. I don't know just an idea.

Been hanging out on Slashdot, have we? ;)

F***ing Harleys, how do they work?

You're not a juggalo, are you?

Well, I just popped over to the website for the Secretary of State's office, and found this:

"Disability license plates are issued to individuals with a disability, to a family member or caretaker living with a person with a disability or to facilities that serve and transport people with disabilities. The wheelchair disability symbol is embossed on each plate."

So, the owner might be a relative or caretaker.

Actually my Mother has a Wheel Chair sticker on her bike.

She rides a 650cc Yamaha V-Star Classic. BUT She had a VERY bad motorcycle crash a few years back and has very bad knees since. She can not walk without the use of a cane. BUT she can still ride shes in pain riding but shes in pain driving a car too. Riding is one thing she loves in life and she aint ready to give it up. She is legaly labled as disabled because of her leg injuries (AS well as some heart problems) but operating the bike is still not much more physically demanding than driving a car really why cant she ride.

I can't see the pic here at work but I am guessing that there is awheel chair on the L Plate?

The wheel chair symbol is the internationally recognized symbol for any disability. It does not mean that the plate holder is confined to a wheel chair.

I have seen a few motorcycles with disability plates. It doesnt make sense really. But you can get handicapped plates if you have trouble operating a cell phone.

More like they put the rocks on her.

Now, I'm not really a fan of ICP, so I can't really say I liked or disliked them one way or the other, but thanks to things like this, I can honestly say I think less of them now because their fans pull crap like this.

They throw rocks and whatnot at her, chase her off stage, she hides in her trailer, so they attack the trailer? No excuse for that.

I can totally understand having DP plates if you can't walk far. Hell, I've seen guys with the oxygen tank sticking up out of a saddlebag but I don't have one and usually end up parking closer than the handi-marked car spots at the store... just sayin. On the sidewalk, in triangles that form diagonal parking, in the always empty bicycle spots, tucked up next to the shopping cart corral that doesn't fill a full car spot. All that with MY big pig. A couple more options open up to those in the cafe, scooter and moped size ranges.

I have an acquaintance that has one. He doesn't walk real good, and has a fold up cane strapped to the seat. Never seen him use the cane tho.......

Dated a girl in college that was a paraplegic. She always wanted to bring her mirror tag so we could get good parking. I wouldn't use it though because she got around better than a four year old on a sugar high.

We have a local guy who drives his bike from a wheel chair on a platform located where a sidecar would hookup on the bike. All the controls are on an extension that put them in reach of the wheel chair. Next time I see him I'll get a pic and post it. I never thought it odd just good for him not giving up what he loves to do because of a disability.
