I bought this windshield with the square bar adapters for my 82 maxim XJ750J. I installed it today but it looks kinda funky. It is very stable and all but I had to adjust the angle on my handlebars now they are uncomfortable as well.

Has anyone else installed this unit on a square bar bike?

    mine seems to work.......

I have the verry same shield...... I did bend my mounting bars a slight bit.
about a 5 deg. bend 4" from the end.

I'll try and take a picture when I get a chance.

I don't have a hellfire but a slipstreamer viper i think. I had to put a round headlight on to make it work right.

Thanks Don, I considered bending the bars as well. I probably will.

I'm thinking of getting one of these for my '82 Maxim 750. Are the square bar adapters necessary? I can't seem to find any pictures to see how they work.

    Resurrecting an old post...

Pics anyone? Or at least a testimonial.. I like the look of the Hellfire and people here seem to give positive reviews, and I just want to make sure it fits well on the square bars with those adapters..
