Here is a chop we are building... We are building a full frame with axle plates rather than using the swing arm and tubing it. It will be a 4 up 2 out hardtail with a leafer front end and 10" mini apes.

waiting on pics from one of the students to show this weekends progress. It was a trying and slow moving weekend.
the mill broke an entire gear assembly. I had a backup set of gears to replace them as I knew it was going to happen. The thing I did not count on was not having the proper tools to pull the spindle out of the bearings to remove the gears. So that is sitting dormant at this point and we are using an inferior Chinese bearing drill press to do work on. because of the size of some of the tubes and the angles we were unable to use the notcher so it was back to the stone age and hand notch the tubes. Then to top it off one of the students was told to hold the wheel which was attached to the motor via the shaft drive. He left his post, the wheel fell pulling the shaft drive in turn pulling the engine off the cribbing. It smashed to the floor and cracked a derby cover. Its better than what it could have been. So sunday we spent building a motor jig as i should have had them do the first day. So much for trying to map the frame before making all the jigs.

the pics are not in timeline order. Hope you guys enjoy. THe axle plates are being milled right now for a 17mm axle hole and a new longer 17mm axle is being made for the rear. We are now putting a harman frontend on it. along with a dropped style tank not sure if it will be fatbob or sportster. Frame will be done in 3 weeks as this weekend we will have all the seatpost forward done but not be done with the axle and plates and next weekend I have to see a friend off to the army. So no work next weekend.

this is the type of bike we are looking to build. we will be building a harman frontend and want to the bike to look something like the one in this link http://www.executivechoppers.com/images ... 1/009.html

definitely want a show and go bike.

Just got the axle plates done with the 17mm axle hole. Hope to get the new axle in short time. That is all that is left for the frame. Then its on to the frontend.

sorry for not coming around more...We got everything done and the bike is back in the shop for the winter for a new frame and frontend combo. I don't know if the guy wants to post pics of the new build or not so i will have to see. Projects on hand right now is a 280mm rear tire evo motor custom frame and an XS650 in a custom frame. after that i only have 2 kz 440s, a kz400, and a VTX1800
