So im just trying to get the list of little things fixed as I remember them. My bike will go into neutral when the engine is off and sometime when shifting up to second but if its just sitting there idling it will not. any suggestions on what would cause this?

Generally that is caused by a dragging clutch; usually just a result of needing an adjustment.

A certain degree of that behavior is normal when the bike is stone cold but it should free up as soon as the bike warms up. If not, then you most likely simply need to adjust the clutch.
