I have a old mercury manometer. I got it from buddy a while back and haven't used it yet. I'll try it out and if it works I'll let ya know.

I think mine was cheaper that 100 bones too but that was so long ago. They are a must have for a multiple carb bike.

Well I went and checked the one I had and there doesn't appear to be any mercury left in it. Sorry. :(

The GBP is down compared to the dollar; the original CarbTune is going for just under $100, shipped: http://www.carbtune.com/

I love mine, despite the fact that I paid considerably more for it.

They are easy enough to make if your in a bind. Long piece of tubing, a 3-4 ft board, some zipties and some tranny fluid.

For mercury, go to some electronic flea markets & look for mercury relays. There's enough mercury in one of them to just about fit the needs of a 4 lung manonometer. Old electric switches used mercury too but it would take 5-6 of them to get enough. A lot of old industrial thermometers used it too

Ham Radio flea markets are a good place to look as are any of the larger flea markets where lotsa junk is sold.
