I just ordered this gauge on ebay.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Acewell- ... ccessories

Haven't received it yet, as it's coming from Australia. I'll be posting an installation guide later in a few weeks once I get it on. I know some people on here have gone with Acewell previously. I also know that people here generally like MikesXS and have used their gauges as well. His would be a little cheaper than the $200 I spent, but would have quite the number of functions.

Very cool instrument, should take just a couple of minutes to connect all of the electrics. I first saw this on site that sells Dakar lighting et al for Hondas and other off road bikes.

Looks like a very nice Instrument.

I think the Speedo will actually be more accurate than the cable driven stock one.

I rode by a Police Traffic Speed Reminder Rig and my Speedo is 8 Mph off.
    When the Speedo says I'm doing 65 ... I'm going 57.

    No wonder I ain't been pulled-over lately!

Typical speedo inaccuracies in our beloved beasts are a combination of factors, not a government mandate. The friction clutch/drum in the speedo does wear over time (leading to slippage) and there is a slight variance of tire circumference from manufacturer to manufacturer. You can have your speedo calibrated by a specialty shop (none that will touch Japanese gauges on bikes in the greater LA area folks, I checked).

I just ordered my gauges from mikes XS im pretty sure it will work fine cuz the XS650 also uses the cable drive. I'll post back when they arrive.

the tach hookup on my acewell was kind of trickey, you might need some resistors
