So im without a camera right now but will get some pictures up. Found out my tags are expired and wont have money for them for a couple weeks so its time to do all the things I've been wanting to do. First thing i did last week was pull of the stock pipes and got some shortys made. Sounds great. Today I stripped down the bike. removed battery box, tank, air cleaner box, rear fender, lights. Going to cut the frame, new lights, new plate mount, new air cleaners. Im so stoked to finally get it going. Ill get pictures up soon.

all i did was slide the old ones off from the cat. Then had a guy make me some two and and a half foot pipes same OD made and the bent about 40 degrees at the last foot. Also had the straight end expanded and flanged so you can just clamp it on. Ill get a picture up today.

So still without a camera other then laptop which doesn't work well. But this is what I did the other day. Painted wheels flat black, relocated turn signals, put carbs back on, and started on ideas for a seat. Think im going to chop the frame this weekend. Quick question do you guys weld the fender on usually or just drill some holes for bolts?

Yeah had to use the one on my laptop only thing i have, should have a actual one soon. I have what looks like a cat right off the headers thats under the frame then has to out pipes to where my pipes slide on. I may use an old trailer fender, cut it shorter not sure yet.

So today was kinda productive made a side bracket for the license plate, and battery box. Used a couple old signs. Also chopped off right past the springs back! Im so stocked to get the fender mounted. Then chop the seat. Little nervous about that

This is about the best i could to. For the license plate i just cut out the plate, bent about one inch on the side. Cut that line about 3 inches and rolled it up. Im going to put my tail light above the plate. For the batterie box i just centered the sign and bent it. Drilled a hole to reuse the original box screw. Im going to get some 6 inch bolts and put one on each side and clamp the battery in. Im debating if i want tp paint the aluminum side flat black on the pieces.

So my pops and I dug into my mess of wiring. Bike wouln't start for most of the day. One of the fuseable links the came loose and almost shorted out. But got a lot of un needed wire out of the way. Trimmed my cluster and put a light boot over it so its just the speedo and now I actually can see it at night. Got the fender mounted fully. Now just got to finish up the wiring. Also decided I didn't like how my headlight was mounted so re mounting it and using some different front signals I had laying around. Hopefully should be fully done by the end of the week.

Just took the back cover off. Used a thin bladed saw to cut it then got a old light boot to slip it into. Works great.

Now to put the new boot gasket on, put the carbs back on, and wrap the seat! Oh and got the new plate and single tail light mounted. will have pictures up tomorrow.

Great job on the bike so far. I was wondering if you welded the rear fender in place or bolted it on? I'd like to see some close up pics if possible. I'd liketo so something similar and hack off the back and put a solo seat in. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I bolted it on. Used the holes from the old bag mounts(think thats what they where for) for a guide. Also used pipe clam around the cross tube under the seat so 3 bolts in all. Its very ridged. Also have a whole that a bolt from the seat pan goes into to hold it down. It wasn't to bad but its a two/three man job so nothing moves
