I know that the Xj650 Turbo oil cooler is a bolt on to the regular 650 seca. So I bought what was advertised as an Xj650Turbo oil cooler.

The mounting "pins" on top of the cooler seem consistent with Xj Yamaha. Perhaps its because I'm not very familiar with bikes in general, or oil coolers specifically, but it looked a lot bigger than I had imagined or seen in pictures, and the oil lines seemed really thick and rather short.

But this should be the right cooler, no?

Damn... ok. I got screwed over. I should have looked more closely before I "placed an offer". Turns out its the cooler from an FJ 1100.

Well... anybody want an oil cooler for an FJ 1100?

if you can make it work. that would be the main thing. might not be cosmetically perfect. but it's better then nothing i would guess.

as far as i know. they all work the same. oil flows through the cooler. and air flows through the fins as the bike rolls down the road cooling the oil.

Yeah I'm sure I could make it work, but I really don't want to have to do that much fabricating. This bike is enough of a frankenstein already, you know?

    Thanks for the help guys.
