cold exhaust means no firing. if the cy linder was firing there would be heat.

since you say the bike idles fine. i'd bet low compression. a dead cylinder always just goes for a ride. if the cylinder had good compression and wasn't running. you'd defentily notice a performance issue.

check all scenarios though. --compression. spark. fuel.

are you absolutly sure that its running on all 4 cylinders?

also how cool are we talking? like after the bike has been running for 3 minutes can you actually put your hand on the cool pipe for more than a second? or is it just slightly cooler than the hot ones.

if its just straight cold and you can keep your hand on it. then that cylinder isnt firing. spark plug. clogged pilot jet, bad coil. but you would hear it firing on only three.

if it warms up but just isnt as hot as the others. you may just need to sync your carbs. and make sure your air mix screws are all turned out the same. running lean or rich can make a differnce in temp but in my exp only by like 20 or so degrees.

    "X" model (watercooled?)

How many miles on the bike?

    Have you checked the compression?

I'm betting the answers are "yes," something more than 10K, and "no."

If that's the case, check the compression. Then check your valves.

I have not checked compression and the bike has 55,000. I am wondering about plugs as well. One of the plug wires might be a little skechy
