I had an old booster from Canadian tire that had two crocodile clips that had cracked and come apart, rendering the booster pretty useless. So I came up with a little labor day weekend project. One of my XJ's has a bit of a cronky old battery, this is my run around Seca 550, one of 3 I own. So I didnt mind using it as a guinea pig.
The idea behind this project is to have an extra booster on tap ready to crank in when the weather is colder or the battery is a little tired. This also lets you still charge the booster when in the garage with the existing 12 volt transfomer. Just plug it in and the little trickle gives you plenty of power to turn over the motor - this makes a huge difference starting

i woulda made some type of connection that sticks outside. not having to lift the seat up. just simply plug in.

Yes - I thought about that - It was also an option for the switch as well - to be able to turn on at the side of the bike - problem was there isnt really very much room - everything is so snug, and you run the risk of water getting in and that was not a happy thought. Lifting the seat is a whole lot less hassle than removing the side cover (notoriously crack !!) and then trying to connect some fat crocodile clips from a booster to the positive terminal
