I have a four into one header on a xj750. I have no packing, no sleeve, just a cap, almost an open header.......from 3250rpm to 3750rpm is just the sickest sweetest sound til I get to 5900rpm to 6200rpm and get the same but higher and faster. I love 45mph and 65-70 mph... Does anyone else love the sound of there exhaust at a certain point of rpm's.

I like mine at idle and in the 3.5k to 4k. I've got two 2-1 setups into harley mufflers. At idle and around 3.5K range they sound like a pair of harley's rolling down the road.

With a full face helmet and ear plugs, I feel more than hear the exhaust at 70 mph.

I appreciate cages hear loud pipes, but I'd rather not have Harley like noise. So I like the oem muffler sounds. A mix of sport bike whine and cruiser rumble.

Goosing her in fifth gear after coming out of a 45mph zone is when mine makes the the sound I like. Instead of downshifting into 4th in a 45mph zone, I tend to lazily stay in 5th and cruise on through.

Have no tach so don't know but I like to do the same. Hear the rpm's all the way throw the low to high. But I love my idle. with the new pipes i get a pretty deep sound that isn't stupid loud.

I really should take the cam for a ride, and hide it under my hoodie or something so i don't get wind, but get all the bike sound and post it. Could be interesting to try that this weekend.
