Finally got this back on the road. It is a 1984 XJ 750 RL that I bought for a parts bike several years ago. The motor was shot but it had a brand new set of stock exhaust pipes. Once I got it home and had a good look at it, I decided it was worth saving. I had another motor kicking around so last winter I had it soda blasted and painted. Replaced a few gaskets, rebuilt the brakes, carbs and front forks. Took it for a 60 km spin the other night. Still need to do some fine tuning but it purrs right along.

Very Nice. I like seeing somebody actually inspired by a stock exhaust system.

    Good work.

You certainly get a "merit badge" for saving this one. Well done!
