My 12 year old son needed a problem solving project for science class so he used the maxims brushes being past thier service limit as the basis for the task, and he changed them in less than an hour while the proud father took pictures. I will post them in my gallery!

Ok, now we all just hate you.

Right on Jerry, That's how I learned by helping dad out!!
I learned on VW's though, but same principles apply.

    Good Job Dad

Could you send him over for a few days? I have plenty of science projects to keep him busy for at least a week.
    Great Job

A proud father indeed, good to see some quality time spent with the family. Bonus for involving motorcycles.

    Thanks Robert,

He enjoys riding on it almost as much as I do. Not many days go buy that he doesn't hit me up for a ride. I can see him someday riding on down the road all by himself on my Maxim. :)

YOUR MAXIM? Have him start saving his pennies, when he's 16 he can get his own 550 or 650 and you can help him do the fix up. Get a couple years experience in the cage then he can ride with you. He'll have the pride of riding something he bought and fixed up his ownself.

    I like Micarl's advise.
Dad's ride may be sentimental but ones own ride is what it's about.

I have this buddy in the big city who inherited his dads 25 yr old pickup which was in really nice shape, but it is more a shrine than something he can use.
He's afraid to use it because something might happen to it. (even though it's his primary truck)

If his dad had known that was going to happen, he would have never given it to him.

I like his advice myself, He wants a dirtbike to start on so he will spend a lot of time having fun with that and saving for his own street bike.
