I am still having issues on my 92 Seca II. I am gettin a spark on Coils 1+4 but not on 2+3. The plugs on 1+4 are firing but getting dark and sotty yet 2+3 are staying clean just getting a little wet. I already replaced both ignition coils, still have the same issue. One user told me to check the Pick up coil resistance while another told me I needed a new CDI. Is there a way to determine if the issue is between the Pick Up or the CDI?

AFAIK, there's just one pick coil. If bad, you'd have no fire either circuit, right?

Is there just one CDI box or two? If two, swap 'em and see if the problem follows...then you'll have your answer...

No i was referring to the ignition coils. checked the pick up coil for resistance. 419 so I'm guessing it's fine. Only has one CDI. Looking for another one at this moment. Hopefully that is the culprit. Does anyone know if the magneto could cause this problem as well? Also could the rectifier be a cause of this issue?
