82 xj 750 speedometer=fail

    My speedometer just broke on my xj and I am in the market for a replacement. Any ideas? Thanks in advance guys and gals.

    i have a mikes XS speedo, just installed it. I love it, its smaller and cleans up the front of the bike when oyu get rid of them huge gauges. heres a pic of it on mine. plus now i know how fast im going when im over 80mph :)

    hey when you put that gauge on there what did you do with the rest of the wires? (for the tach, neutral, turn signals, etc.)

    removed the wires from the harness. or you could just tape up the ends, and pull the fuses for them and leave them in the headlight.

    Sorry to bring back an old thread...but is that a Bud Light tap being used as a suicide shift?!? Part of the reason I love these old bikes is seeing what crazy (in a good way) stuff people do to them.
