Got a new rear tire mounted, and now I can not get the thing back together. The cover plate that fits just inside the final drive rubs on a 2 inch "bulge" on the bottom of the final drive (where the drain plug is on the outside)
Whats going on? How do I get this thing back together.

it even rubs a little with the final drive off the shaft tube and the wheel off the bike. As soon as I start to torque down the castle nut, it binds between the cover plate and the final drive.

    This is where it rubs.
