Ive got an 82 650 maxim, the turn lights do not flash any more. They have power but dont flash. Any reasons why and how it could be fixed.

could be anything from a bad ground which is what I'd check first to a bad flasher.
Also check that your bulbs are in working order

Think I would start with corrosion on the bulb bases. That is what happened to mine. Good luck

Yeah, what happens is that when it's not pulling enough watts, the bulbs just light up and don't flash. The same thing will happen if you put in some low watt bulbs (so I've heard).

It's either gonna be corrosion on the wiring like others have said, or the flasher under the tank has died.

I had the same thing going on when I got mine. I ended up putting in a new electric flasher and doing without the self canceling stuff.

Another place to look is the fusebox if you haven't already. One of the 4 fuses is for the signals. They corrode easily.

If you still have the factory original fusebox under the seat, it'll save you a lot of headaches to replace it. It's a cheap and easy fix and worth the half hour or so it takes.

Another check would be to be sure all 4 bulbs are the same (1157 if my memory serves me). They will light but not flash if they are different.
