    These are OLD pictures. These are the glamour shots I took while I was doing all the work, the year before last.

    I was really taking a beating from a few folks who had a different view about stripping all the Black and Gold off a Midnight Maxim.

    If the poor bike wasn't way, way-beyond the point where that "Midnight" look could have been preserved ... I'd have tried to save it. Lord knows it would have required a whole lot less work.

    But, the "Gold" was totally shot. Falling-off and peeling-off everything. The Black wasn't even close to being able to be saved. And, the PO used the cheapest crap he could find to rattle it black -- WITHOUT masking anything! I had over-spray on everything.

    I was forced into a "Down to bare metal & aluminum" situation.
    So, that's what I had to do.
    One thing led to another and the "Polished with stainless" motif happened.
