you need to take the rubbers out of the 550 shocks and put them in yours, but i noticed on these shocks they dont have the eye for the bottom, but is that what you need for a chain drive bike? inseat of eyes you have those things? my cb750 had them

polock, i'll whip out some alipers and get you the measurement, they are a bit stiff but not too bad, im hacking up the set I have right now to drop the bike

and TIME, It was on the road a week after the crash, but right now since im home, i'm going over all my half ass and doing it right, I fixed all my electrical problems by removing about 20 lbs of really useless wire, my dad said the bike would never run when i had the big jumble of wires to sort through, so I drove it to the farm 2 hours later using a 2 litre bottle

but plans for it are shorter shocks, may get savage shocks, mini or full on apes, forwards, and i would really like a foot clutch and shit knob, the safer way to do a suicide shift, and just goin over it again. I half assed alot of stuff to get her on the road

Would those fit an 82 750 Maxim?

And being a new rider, what are the advantages? (Other than replacing worn out originals with modern ones).

This is still "greek" to me...

P.S. Is that a stick on fake air vent on that side cover? Cool looking regardless

well, they're firm as in they dont squat and bounce when you go over a b ump, and with a little tuning, I dont get the jump while shifting gears provided by the shaft drive.

also, those are stick on but i cut the same size hole behind it and was going to run red LED's behind it

are the eye to eye measurements close enough you didn't have to change much? my 82 650 could use a little suspension

Since building and restoring minis for a few years, I've discovered many sources for items such as these "piggy backs". They come in many different sizes and color variations as well as adjustment options. Gas filled, air filled, adjusting rings, multiple mounting bushings along with wrenches. Below is set I put on a CT70 custom and you can adjust to as firm as a board and as soft as Lexus ride.

didnt change nothin, but like i said, those shocks need eyes on the bottom for shaft drive, i'd ask the buy if he has some of those kind or can give you some..

What are you after? There's a bunch of these out there. The higher end "name brand" ones are like Ohlins and Yoshimura, mine on the CT are SSI. You have to watch out, because there are alot of crappy Chinese knockoffs that try to imitate the high end Japanese good stuff.

Many different sizes, what are you looking for? Eye to eye measurements in metric is how most are sold.
