    Hello!

My 81s running great, but was wondering how much & how easy to replace the oil pump. To my knowledge it's never been changed & Id hate to lose a good running motor.

What do you all think? Replace or take my chances?

Why again? 16K miles? That's not exactly a "wear item" in these motors.

Spend your money on some stainless steel brake lines, or a new valve cover gasket and donut set and some valve shims. Do the valves; that IS something you need to worry about, and soon.

I would put the oil pump near the bottom of the worry list.
