Hi Everybody, I'm Joel. I just picked up an '92 XJ600 Seca II. It's been sitting for about a year but looks pretty good except the heavy rust inside the tank.

I got it started and running for about 2 mins the other day by spraying carb cleaner into the carbs. And I had it hooked up to a gas I.V. So, I'm pretty excited about getting this bike running fairly quickly.

Got the carbs off today and they are varnished and just all sorts of gunked up. Lots of chunky white jelly looking stuff too. Also surprised that the bowls where dry considering I had it running for a couple mins. Must have been just the carb cleaner that kept it going.

I guess I've got two projects going right now, I just finished putting the transmission back together on my '67 Honda CL77 Scrambler 305. But that's a nut and bolts resto and will take a few more months.

Anyway, I look forward to looking around on here. And I'm sure, I'll have lots o questions as the newest bike I've ever worked on was a 1968 CB160. Unless you want to count the mid-70's Vespa Primavera 125... Anyway, I'm sure I'll have some questions about these carbs as they are a lot different then the ones made in the 60's and 70's. Although I also know how to use the search function, so Maybe not...

Thanks for the welcomes. I'd say my three greatest assets, when it comes rebuilding bikes, are 1) the ability to search on forums 2) a pretty good tool box and 3) a girlfriend encourages my hobby.

I'll get some pics up later today.

    Joel
