Another reason why work sucks

Well... I gotta stop browsing kijiji at work.

Lunch time yesterday, a guy had posted a Seca 400, non running for free..
Can I reply...no , stupid network security prevents that .......
By the time I get home, it's gone......

Could've done a nice Maxim/Seca hybrid over the winter

On the ple side, on Thursday when I stopped for gas, a guy came up and asked it it was Maxim 400... turns out his brother has one and a couple ,of parts bikes, apparently had crashed his main and is looking to sell off parts.... could be useful.....

 

At least YOU CAN see kijiji at work. Most of the time I can't even see kijiji and you can forget about CL or Ebay.
We are firewalled up the ying-yang...

 

luckily since i work in IT i have access to things regular employees dont, and when that fails, i can remote into my computer at home and have full access to everything. It's actually really easy to set up with a windows computer, i should post a tutorial.

 

The Military is screwed if they ever ban Craigslist, but I think it's pretty bad when you can't see weather dot com.

Yes, work stops you looking at anything interesting and our firewalls strip anything with .exe. bat . bin etc file extensions. This is a PITA if someone sends you a program you desperately need!!!

 

That one's easy-- just have the sender rename the file to a ".boo" or ".old" or some other fanciful (just make sure it's not real) extension, and just change it back after you get it.

 

Thankfully none of the site mashes are blocked...they haven't figured these out yet.
