I have decided to do fairly comprhensive rebuild ofmy maxim. The one thing I want to replace looks wise is that ridiculously large taillight. Anybody have any suggestions for what I can do. I am going to use the stock fender. I just want a sleeker looking mostly stock bike.

It may be a large tail light, but it is perfectly designed for rear firing LED bulbs/clusters :) - But then you need LED plate lights... Oh wait that is my ride... LOL

Im looking for something that possibly hangs near the end of the fender....and mounts the plate below the fender. I couldnt stand looking at the oversized plate bracket. That thing was huge and hideous!...

Go to J&PCycles.com and look around. I doubt they will have anything made for your bike so you'll have to do some custom work.

You could go to a bike bone yard and see if you could find something you like better. Or the custom guys might have an aftermarket suggestion
