    I would like to know which engines will easily swap into my '86 xj700. Any help would be appreciated.

    The earlier 650's and 750's will drop in with a few minor notes.
    There is an issue with the 750 Maxim shifter set-up and how that would affect you.
    These engines want to run their own ignition system complete, and their proper jetting.
    Several months ago, Chacal posted a very detailed answer to your Q.
