been working on my bike and found out about a couple of things that are compatible...

    1. Harely bars that bolt onto the top triple tree will bolt into our speedo and tach mount on our triple tree

    2. honda cb 750, 900, and 1000 tanks will fit on our frames, you will have to take off our tank mount rubbers, shave off half of the tank mount on the tank and frame, and move the coils, I kind of made my own mount and stacked them on top of eachother in their original spot. the cb750 tanks are about 2 inches longer too, so i simply bent some metal and bolted one end to the original mount and bilted the tank to the other end of the metal.

just figured you guys would find some of this useful and give you more options that are somewhat easy

    thanks for the info!

Here's a thought.... we should keep adding to this and maybe make it a sticky. It would be cool to have a list of stuff that works with our bikes.

Hmmm......Wonder if that is the case with something like my 650 Maxim, though (Referring to the Honda tanks.). With 3 middle bars, you kinda need a tank with a wide tunnel. Hoping it'd work though. The CB tanks are sweet for cafes!

cb750 has the triple back bone too thats why it works 650 and 750 frames are virtually the same

Woohoo! Sweet. Didn't want to assume those CBs has triple backs. Opens up a whole new window of opportunities. Thanks Schooter for coming through with the info! Something even my local cycle shop didn't realize, too.

but there's kinda no easy going back once you do, because you have to shave off some of the maxim or seca's tank mount on the frame, its easy to do, just not too easy to reverse, but i suppose you could welt it back on kinda easy.. idk

but i do like the idea of a compatibility thread, im pretty sure xs650 front ends bolt up to our frames

Not at all concerned with going back. Be real interested to see what other stuff is compatible, too.

    If you have:
    a hammer
    a drill
    a grinder
a welder (or access to one)

Then just about any part out there is compatible 8) sometimes it takes a really BIG hammer...but you can make it fit!!! :D

    JMHO ;)

Well, 3 out of 4 isn't bad. Still working on the welder part.
