81 xj650 parts

i have some parts i'm not using from my xj650 hardtail project. Most are in decent shape unless otherwise noted.

I am parting out an entire bottom end of the engine. had low compression so i swapped it.
all engine covers (clutch, stator, etc) in good shape for the age. No rash whatsever. $10 plus shipping each. I can podercoat them black for $10 additional, each.

Transmission. $50. Might not be worth that, but it's not worth my time to pull it out for any less.

Whatever else you want.... head, cyls, etc. I'd call their condition "remachining needed" $15 each item

Air box, uncircumsized. $25


Aluminum brackets from around the seat, and where the lower pegs and exhaust mount to. $10 each, somewhat weathered.

seat, slightly weathered but not too bad. No big rips. $15

Mufflers, stock. I have the h pipe thingie that goes from 4 into 2 as well, however i'm taking the clamps off of it where the 4 header pipes go in. It's got surface rust, but it's solid. Mufflers are pretty damn clean. $25

Headlight and housing, pretty clean. Some very light rust on the lower bracket, but it should clean up nicely. Chrome looks good. $15

Stock rear wheel. some weathering, but not bad. Might clean up ok, havent tried. tire is flat, but has tread. I can pull it off if you want, i wouldnt use it. $20

Front wheel with good tire. No rotor. Same condition as rear. $35

Rear brake drum assembly including good shoes. $15

Not without modification. They are not a drop in. If I remember my efforts correctly, they bend/lay differently so the mounts don't quite line up.
Vanimal, where are you generally located so we might get a general idea of shipping costs?
I'd be interested in the exhaust as I need to replace the drilled out units on my XJ650J. Mine will be up for sale shortly.

 

i'm in San Diego, CA.

I just looked at the mufflers, they're a little worse off than i thought. There's rust around the mounting bracket. Most of it was on the bottom so i didnt see it when i pulled it off the bike. I also didnt realize the mufflers were welded to the h pipe, so it'd probably be $$$$ to ship.

 

I'm down in SD once in a while (got to head down there soon anyway). We might be talking...soon. If Bluesdog decides to waive off on them, I would like to see some pictures.

I take the headlight. My bike has windjammer and I want to convert it back to naked look. Are all the necessary brackets included?
