It's an app for smart phones that you use to read messages from different forums. Really cool! Suggest you try it if you have a smart phone!!

 

Nope... all my phones are stupid as a box of rocks. All they can do is dial a number and let me use my voice to talk to people on another phone....but then again that's all I need for my phone to do. I don't need to be connected 24/7 to my social network to know who's doing what. Don't need to text every movement of my life or the latest juice on blah blah... I don't need my phone to point out where a restaurant is or let me watch movies or surf the internet (that's what my freakin' pc is for..) Guess I am just one of those old out-of-touch fogies who just doesn't get the NEED to have a phone that does all that stuff....
yup...I only need my phone to dial a number, then do NOTHING while I converse with the person I called... :wink:

Who said anything about doing something else while talking to someone?
I understand you don't need a phone to do anything else than talk.
That's fine with me. I also understand and agree that too many humans are hooked on those machines and trade their social lives for internet.

I'm a teacher, i know what i'm talking about. Technology is taking too much place in our kids live (In my humble opinion) . Too many time spent in from of the computer instead of sharing and playing with their 'alive' friends...

I understand what you mean, but the technology is available so why not use it in a civilized and intelligent way. I still have a social life even if i downloaded a couple of applications on my phone. I don't spend 2 hours every day on sites and stuff. I don't have time.

By the way, you are not an 'old out-of-touch fogies'...... You just doesn't need that technology and i respect that more than you think.

 

Not too long ago a fellow was putting his whereabouts out on the internet for all to see from the airport as he waited to fly away on vacation. He told all where he was going how long he would be gone where he was staying (you starting to get the picture). His first hint that something was not right was the calls from his credit card companies seems he had excessive charges coming from all over the place after a while it donned on him that some of these cards he only used to buy coins and bullion from his home so he asked a friend to go by and check on his home. It was like the Grinch who stole Christmas. Now the cops wouldnt say it was directly related to this but they wouldnt say it wasnt either. All I know is that if you sing, Rockin Robin, Tweet Tweet hes gets real angry for some reason.

 

i have a $9 per month make phone calls phone. no tapatalk for me i guess.
