85 xj700 maxim hitachi carb

    What do you do with the crankcase vent tube when you remove the airbox to replace carb with pod filters?

    get a small vent k@n or splice into it run the hose up under the seat with a fuel filter with a paper element just in case oil gets that high but it shouldn't

    thanks. does it cycle thru the intake i didn't know if the crank case vent tube going in the bottom of the airbox cycled back thru the intake it ran very rough when vent tube unplugged from airbox.

    oh yea, is that a vent can (k@n)? where can i get one?

    not sure if chacal has them but you should be able to get 1 from bike bandit or similar stores

    i thankya for the info. i have 2 hitachi and a mukini carbs, i do have other parts for the xj700 i got a bigger jet kit still working on getting valves set bike has under 10000 miles and just painted it looks great runs kind of rough, but its a project and i'm learning. i thank ya very much for the info. i will be putting some parts up for sale that i've been gathering. i don't know where i'm going to to put them yet. if you're interested in any just let me know. my girlfriend is typing for me. she is very good at in and i'm very pisspoor at it. we'll try to get some pics up.
