Iam looking for a round headlight for a 82 seca 650. I found a few on ebay but no one have the ring just the bucket. If anyone has found an aftermarket replacement please let me know. Thanks all...

The original headlight for the 650 Seca was an 8" unit, unique to that bike and only a couple others of the era.

Most of the other round-light Yamahas of the period used a 7" unit. These (the 7" housing) are much easier to find, but they wouldn't be listed as being for the 650 Seca.

    What are you looking for?

Good link  but I think he needs the bucket with the ring to hold a 7" light before he can buy the suggested lights :)

I'm also curious where to get generic 7" round headlights just in case I give up on my fairing but want to keep my 7" round headlight...

I need the housing all I have is the bracket. I want to use any round headlight I dont care for the square ones. As a matter of fact I currently have a vetter quicksilver fairing with a square headlight that I want to replace.

You don't need a "generic" the Yamaha 7" headlight on the 550s and 650s (except the Seca) is available all over eBay for cheap. And they're about as "generic" as you'll need, plus still look "Yamaha."

fatjack, you could easily use a 7" round headlight assembly from a 550/650 with very few issues; you might need a couple of spacers is all.

I have a spare light and bucket that will work. Send me your e-mail and I will send you some pics. Both are very nice indeed.

here's one i put on my seca, plastic except the ring and bulb holder, weighs about nothing, good light pattern, comes with a bulb but not the best one, keep it for a spare, not much room for plugs and wires.
price went up since i got mine, nice unit but a little pricey now

Good luck with your search for an 8 inch headlight. They have become nearly impossible to find in my searching. Persistence on ebay might turn one up though.
