will 82 650 seca harness fit my 80 maxim 650?

    Been needing a harness, my neighbor has an 82 seca 650 harness and I want to know if it will work for my bike?

    The Seca 650 is an XJ650 "Euro" that only came here one year.

    The 650 Maxim was a whole different bike, built for the North American market.

    Their electrical systems have a lot of differences, their frames are a different shape, and major components are located differently, so the harness won't just "drop in" and work.

    You could probably MAKE it work; but plug-n-play it ain't. Sorry.
