Is the front master cylinder for an XJ 650 the same as the XJ750 that has dual front brakes?

I am swapping to a 750 front end and want to know if I can use my 650 master cylinder.

I think the 750 has a remote set up.

indeed. the 750 has a cable from the lever that goes down to the MC hidden behind the headlight. one of the many idiosyncrasies of the bike as yamaha explored new territory.

The master cylinder is still on the bar with the brake handle. There is a junction in the fork that routes the lines to the 2 calipers. There is no additional reservoir there, thus my question. Is the cylinder on the bars the same size (capacity) for the 650 and the 750?

The master cylinders are slightly different. The Seca's have the remote setup the guys above referred to - Maxim's had the standard on-bar m/c. The 750 master cylinder has a larger bore & piston to drive more fluid to the dual calipers.
