well spraying with lots of lube, big hammer with small punch and little taps, using either a very small vise grip with a cloth not to hurt the pin or needle nose, depends on the bike and room left to play

if you scuff the pin up a bit, you can put it in a cordless drill and spin it while you wrap sand paper around it

you want a metal wedge between the posts something to transfer the tapping force from one post through the wedge to the other post to something metal and heavy to absorb the force
if the wedge is loose or comes out you will bust the post, they don't bend
once you get it out enough to grip it twist and gently pull STRAIGHT
    more twist than pull
if the floats are stuck to the pin sometimes you can spread the floats open a little where they wrap around the pin
your going to need a extra set of hands

only had that problem once. the gas was completely transformed into slime.

put the carb body in a vise. used a very small thin pointed punch and hammer. couple of hits and the pin came loose and out far enough to grab hold with pliers and twist and pull it out.

cleaned everything up with carb cleaner. and sand paper for the heavy residue.
