I am looking to buy my father a bike for this summer. It has been years since he rode and we are moving to Myrtle Beach SC, so I would love to buy him a bike we can tour the beaches with. He loves my bike (mine is an 85 maxim)....I have $1000 to spend, would rather not spend it all but if I must I must. Looking for whatever you guys have to sell. If you think you might have something that will fit the bill PLEASE let me know.

    Thanks.

Hey! Nice to see you here again! I hope you're still enjoying the 85! I have an 83XJ750 Midnight Maxim. It does need some cleaning, which I am planning to do this coming spring/summer. However, I may be willing to sell. If it sounds interesting, let me know. It is currently in indoor storage for the winter, though..

Hey, I forgot.....I also have an 81 xj650 maxim that I am in the middle of a valve shim check. That would be available this spring, too.

Hey Dave! How have you been? YES YES I am still enjoying the maxim! I am doing a couple things with it ....I put a set of apes on it, changing the signals and rear fender, cosmetic stuff....other than that I have been riding the wheels off of it! LOVE IT! And thanks again.
I will be interested in looking at whatever you have to offer, I am pretty comfortable buying what you got. I tell ya what when they are ready shoot me a pm and some pics... maybe we can set up a date to come take a look at em in the spring. Thanks. Oh how bout some updates on the 900?

I don't have any pics right now, but here's a list of what has been done so far (which is basically collecting correct parts to replace the incorrect, and collecting other parts to replace broken/damaged parts):

tank stripped, bondo removed, ready for smoothing
    front fender replaced
    side covers replaced
    rear fender replaced
a rear turn signal replaced, other one will be done next week
seat being prepped for refoaming/recontouring to correctness
    handlebars set to proper positions
fairing stripped, soon to be prepped for painting
4 into 2 collector box located, ready to install when 4/2 exhaust is found

    that's all, so far.
