    Howdy everyone! Ive been searching the site for some fuel tank swap information and haven't had much luck. Here's what i'm after;
    I have an 85 xj700 maxim with a pitifully small fuel tank capacity and i would like to swap for a larger fuel tank from a different model. Is there a larger fuel tank out there? I think the stock capacity is like just over 3 gallons.
    Thanks!

    With a little bit of fiddling and making of new brackets i managed to get an XVS650 tank on to mine.

    That extra 3 litres might be enough for 20 -30 extra miles... since I only do short journeys this can mean 2-3 days extra before fill-ups.

    and yes... speedo works... I needed a 4 inch speedo extension, and had to remove the wiring... the xvs has an engine management light... with a few changes this became the oil light... indicators, high beam and nuetral were easy... just don't believe the wiring codes in the worshop manual... take out the speedo and check where each pair of wires goes to and remove or cap anything not needed.

    That's awesome. Did you build it yourself? Got a writeup on how to make the trike rear assembly?
